Bribery
The Bribery Act 2010 became effective on July 1, 2011. Bribery refers to providing someone with a financial or other advantage to encourage improper performance of their duties or to reward them for prior improper actions. The maximum penalty for bribery is imprisonment for up to ten years, along with an unlimited fine.
In response, we would like to confirm that Bowfell & Co. Healthcare is dedicated to devoting adequate time and resources to develop and implement a comprehensive anti-bribery program. This program will include the following elements:
- * A strong commitment to conducting business fairly, honestly, and transparently.
- * Zero tolerance towards bribery, with strict consequences for any violation of the policies for employees and managers.
- * A commitment to avoid engaging in business with entities that do not prioritize conducting business without bribery as a best practice objective.
- * Provision of protection and procedures for confidential reporting of bribery through a whistleblowing mechanism.
- * Support for key individuals and departments involved in the development and execution of anti-bribery prevention procedures.
By adhering to these measures, Bowfell & Co. Healthcare aims to strengthen its commitment to high ethical standards and combat bribery effectively.
Modern Slavery Statement
We're making this statement in accordance with s.54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, in which we outline the actions taken by Bowfell & Co. Healthcare to prevent any occurrence of modern slavery in our business operations.
What is our staff sourcing process?
At Bowfell & Co. Healthcare, we use a variety of channels to seek potential candidates, including social media, online recruitment platforms, referrals from current employees, and networking. However, we make it clear that we will not tolerate any instances of modern slavery within our organization or within our supply chain. Our sourcing policies conform to relevant legislation and regulations.
Our approach
At Bowfell & Co. Healthcare, we are dedicated to upholding a firm stance against Modern Slavery, forced labor, and Human Trafficking, both within our own organization and throughout our supply chain. To ensure compliance, we carefully vet candidates according to recruitment guidelines, verifying their right to work documentation. In cases where additional verification is necessary, we work closely with the Home Office.
We actively promote an environment where everyone feels empowered to raise concerns or report any potential unethical practices, such as fraud, bribery, slavery, or human trafficking. This invitation extends to our colleagues, suppliers, candidates, and clients. Should any concerns arise, we are committed to thoroughly investigating and efficiently addressing them in a responsible and effective manner.
